I was born in Săo José dos Campos, Săo Paulo, Brazil in 1977. I did my undergraduate in Electronic Engineering (graduating in July of 1999) and my Master of Sciences in Systems Engineering (graduating in May 2001) at Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) located at Recife in the beautiful northeast cost of Brazil. |

While doing the Masters, I was also Substitute Professor at the Math Department at UFPE where I taught course of Calculus 1 and 2 to engineering, economics, computer science majors. The title of my Master's dissertation is: "Stochastic Dynamic Models of the Cardiovascular System". |

After finishing my Master's I enrolled in the PhD program of the Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University located in the gorgeous city of Ithaca in upstate New York, USA. I defended my thesis on April 2006. The title of my Ph.D. thesis is "Dealing with Lack of Awareness in Multiagent Systems". |
